### Tribe of Mentors | Tim Ferriss | 10 Best Ideas | RTS Book Summary - YouTube

Title                                  | URL
---------------------------------------|-----------
Tribe of Mentors - Tim Ferriss - 10 Best Ideas - RTS Book Summary - YouTube | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hytumQ8weE

What if you had access to over 100 of the worlds BEST mentors — what advice would they give you? Going over 10 BIG ideas in today’s video: Tribe of Mentors.

1. SIMPLIFY
Tim Ferris if you don’t know — 4 Hour Work Week (my life changing book) — investor/podcaster/TV host/ Experimenter
Background on book — Tim turned 40 and had series of questions
“What would this look like if it were easy?” He’d send an email to most successful people, same questions, analyze patterns for answers
Put them into this book
The question you can ask “What Would This Look Like If It Were Easy?

2. MACRO FOCUS. MICRO Execution
STORY: I was out drinking one night — drunk guy sits down in our booth, puts arm around me and says:  “GUYS! hours make up days. days make up weeks. weeks make up months. make up years. make up decades = your life”
Hate to admit it, but his drunken rant stuck with me.
We worry too far into the future and not enough about present
Gary Vaynerchuk
Everyone stresses about MACRO: “What will i do in 20-years?” or “What if I try something that doesn’t work in 10 years” or  “Wasted time”
Not enough on MICRO: “why am I checking Instagram 22 times day and watching Netflix 4 hours a night”
Instead: FLIP IT. Squeeze every last second out of day — won’t HAVE to worry about 20-years from now because you’ve made THE MOST from it!

3. Early Rejection
Common theme in this book: every major success had a major failure
When asked “What most impacted life?” 9/10 it were the “negatives”
Challenge and struggle where growth happens. Discomfort.
Ex: Tony Hawk — THProSk8 ($1.4 BILLION) got rejected first time. Good thing b/c they wouldn’t have same vision to make it 1.4B

4. Class one platform
Manage energy, not time - So you dont burn out

5. Self steem
Reputation you have with yourself

7. Extream ownership
Take respossability for good or bad
Take control of your live or someone else will do it (mercy of other people)

8. Discipline = Freedom
Diferent wish diferent discipline plan/startegy ...

9. Ask better quetions

10. Honor the struggle
Embrace the grind
Force the weekness when struggling

Promise - hook them in the first 5 seconds
Picture - Pitch emotions not logic. Paint the emotional picture.
Proof - Show them don't tell them , Show them the emotions. E.g. share a emotional story.
Pitch - Call to action/Ask - Ask them to do what you want - Make it simple one call to action.

---

Promise
In this video, I will teach you how to sell so good people will pull out the wallet and say “TAKE MY MONEY”. Before you learn this must promise me: I WILL ONLY USE THIS METHOD FOR GOOD. I WILL NOT MANIPULATE. If you can’t promise that, aka you’re a sociopath do not watch this video.

### Best Salesman in the World - YouTube

Copy Chief – The Million Dollar Potato Peeler Sales Pitch | https://copychief.com/the-million-dollar-potato-peeler-sales-pitch/
Best Salesman in the World - YouTube | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGOjFhKeLiU

1. Stop traffic. Once a small crowd has gathered Joe waves his audience in closer as a “courtesy” because it “saves me shouting.” He promises, “I won’t ask you for money” to differentiate himself from the panhandlers in the streets of New York City. (And technically he does not ask for money, he asks for a sale.)

You can use this when driving traffic to your offers by promising something of value for visiting your site. Tease curiosity with headlines like, “Exposed: How An Old Man With A Funny Accent Made A Million Dollars Selling Potato Peelers On A NYC Sidewalk”

2. Show your credentials. Notice that Joe surrounds himself with proof of his credentials; his Daily News article is on display, as is his feature article in Vanity Fair and a photo of his appearance on the Today Show. This makes the audience feel safe and provides Joe celebrity status.

You can use this on your website by displaying legitimate credentials about you and your business via testimonial blurbs, endorsements and “As Seen On” icons.

3. Big action opener. Once the audience is close, Joe doesn’t waste time making hyped-up promises or small talk, he just gets right to work demonstrating what his product does and why it matters to his prospects.

You can use this in your pitch by launching straight into a video that shows your product in action. Once you’ve won your prospect’s attention, you can begin to drill down the finer benefits.

4. Describe the tangible benefits. Joe knows his product will appeal to busy moms, so he says, “You do that with the kids, they’ll eat their vegetables.” There’s another brilliant example of some “beyond benefits” a minute or so later when Joe explains that if you fry potatoes and drink red wine like the French, “You’ll live forever, you’ll never die.”

You can use this by thinking through how each benefit of your product can have a positive effect on life for your prospects beyond the obvious.

5. Use humor to bond with your audience. “Does matter if you’re right handed, left handed, or like a politician — under-handed.” This is masterful use of the humor as bonding tool. It furthers Joe’s “man of the people” credentials even though he was a millionaire living on Park Ave.

You can use this with your audience by finding a common enemy to poke fun at, but keep it lighthearted unless your market is extreme in its beliefs.

6. Show the dreadful alternative. Joe holds up the common potato peeler most of us have in our kitchen drawer and says, “You can’t slice potatoes like that with one of these things.” This simple reference to the norm makes what we’ve been using to peel potatoes feel desperately inferior and creates a sudden urgency to replace a utensil that was far from our minds just two minutes earlier.

You can use this by pitting the way your prospects typically do things against how life could be if they were armed with your product or service.

7. It’s easy for anyone to use. Joe hands the peeler to an audience member and has her glide it across a carrot. This gives the audience “social proof” that it isn’t just Joe’s prowess with the tool that makes it so effective. The thing really works!

You can use this online by showing video testimonials of people bragging about how great your product works for them.

8. Reveal “the catch?” Here Joe says, “There’s no trick there’s no skill, but you must use at least six slices.” The caveat is hardly a deal breaker, however by revealing it and adding in the word “but…” you know he’s giving you the truth, making it easy to give him your trust.

You can use this by looking for a place to reveal a small flaw or caveat to your product’s magic and exposing it to build trust.

9. Close with a flurry of benefit bullets. Now that the demo is complete, the proof is shown and the trust is established, it’s time to open the cash register. As Joe pulls out his big bankroll (more proof that the product is popular) he shouts a litany of features and benefits to knock his prospects off the fence…

“They’re made in Switzerland, they’re not made in China.”
“They’re made of stainless steal, they cannot rust.”
“They’re dishwasher safe and I promise you they never need sharpening.”

You can use this by listing the biggest benefits beside or underneath your order button and again on the order form itself.

10. Squash common objections. “And if anyone thinks that’s a special one, you can have that one, I’ll use another one.” Clearly a response to 15 years of skeptical New Yorkers insisting that Joe is shooting with “loaded dice”. He knows it’s on the mind of certain prospects, so he squashes it with a quick line.

You can use this by adding a FAQ section to your sales page to tackle common objections.

11. Special offer pricing. Joe offers “one for $5 or five for $20”. But notice how he builds to the special offer with his phrasing, “They’re five dollars each, they’re worth every penny, they last a lifetime. You can get two for ten, four for twenty and a lot do — you’ll get one free.”

You can use this by thinking of ways to create special offer pricing, just be careful that it doesn’t diminish the original value you’ve worked to establish.

12. Create emotional urgency and justify with logic. “And why would anybody want five peelers if they last a lifetime?” Joe asks, “Cuz you’ve got four friends that’s why.” Then he reminds us that the holidays are coming up and punches the offer with, “you not only save a lot of money, you save a lot of time looking for gifts.” Brilliant.

You can use this by getting your prospects to think about how much the people in their life would benefit from the product and how they’d be a hero for showing up with one as a gift.

13. Keep selling through the sale. As Joe furiously collects cash and hands out peelers, listen to how he runs through his credentials to nudge people over the fence and help them justify their emotional decision to buy…

“Fifteen years I’ve been selling the same thing.”
“1994 I was in the Daily News.”
“Three years ago, Vanity Fair. Julia Roberts on the cover and me in the middle.”
“Best $5 you’ll ever spend.”
“You can’t buy anything in this country that’s made in Switzerland for five dollars… A Swiss Army knife is nearly $100.”
“They don’t make cheap things in Switzerland, they make good things.”

and my favorite line… “You’re not buying these because they’re cheap, you buy ‘em because they’re good and they work.”

Four minute pitch, five dollar product, fifteen years of success, over a million in sales.

Proof that making sales can be easy when you believe in your product and you’ve got the right pitch.

When is the last time you witnessed a master salesperson in action? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.

What must every entrepreneur working on a SaaS/B2B startup know? - Quora | https://www.quora.com/What-must-every-entrepreneur-working-on-a-SaaS-B2B-startup-know
Everything will take longer than you expect or plan. B2B and SaaS is not the same as SaaS in a B2C market. Companies don't decide fast on new products, you may find yourself in situations where your SaaS product will be compared to a traditional software product. This leads to longer sales cycles and effort in answering RfPs.

Go out and start "real" sale early. You need to talk to as much people as possible when your product is ready. Don't rely on your personal network, these people are nice to you and will always listen to you. But it will not materialize as you would expect it. Go out of your office, contact people, get introduced to more people and sell your idea and product.

B2B is Content Management. Companies want to solve problems and people want to ease their life. So your value proposition should focus on this. If you have your value proposition you should create content to proof that you know what you say.

10 Best Ideas - The 4-Hour Work Week - Tim Ferriss - Summary – CLARK DANGER | http://www.clarkdanger.com/10-best-ideas-the-4-hour-work-week-tim-ferriss-summary/
10 Best Ideas - The 4-Hour Work Week - Tim Ferriss - Summary - YouTube | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pe670Q9cJXE

BIG 10 IDEAS:
NOTE: These are only my skeleton outline notes. For the full content, please watch the video or listen to the podcast :)

(2:45) THE NEW RICH
The new rich live by a “Freedom multiplier”
Factors that make up the Freedom Multiplier are: What your do / when you do it / whom you do it with / where you do it.
The amount of “W’s” you control = how free you are! (where what who when)

(4:08) D E A L
The Four Hour Work Week is structured with the acronym “D.E.A.L.”
Definition: Replace self-defeating assumptions. -> what would you do if you have all the money in the world?
Elimination: Forget time management, learn to ignore the unimportant. (provides time)
Automation: Learn to put cash flow on autopilot. (provides income)
Liberation: Create freedom of location. (provides mobility)

(6:09) TIME WEALTH
The new rich value time as their most precious commodity.
The new rich value time over money – knowing they can always make more money, but can never make more time.
For a full explanation on the concept of “Time Wealth” check out the interview with travel guru Rolf Potts here.
Sub point here: Having all the time is not the goal! Doing what excites you is.
The new rick understand that there’s only so many Pina Colada they can drink before it gets boring.

(7:00) WHY RETIREMENT SUCKS
Top the three reasons retirement sucks:
1. It assumes you hate what you do (and need to escape permanently).
2. Cost of living keeps increasing (saving for 30+ years is a ton of money)
3. If you have the work ethic to retire early, chances are you will be bored with not working by week 3.

(8:30) QUOTE
“A person’s success or failure is determined by the amount of uncomfortable conversations he/she is willing to have”
Noting’s going to be easy. Going to be uncomfortable – this is how you grow.
What’s uncomfortable in life: Relationships & dating / travel / starting a business / moving / new job
Those are also the most rewarding things.

(9:40) TRAVEL ON THE CHEAP
Reason I traveled to Southeast Asia in 2015 was because I read in the 4HWW: “you can live like a king for $500 in Thailand”
There has never been a better time in the history of the world for travel.
The fact that we can get on a plane from our hometown and it drops us off half way around the world is insane.
To do that same trip just 200 years ago would of taken 6 months, and half our crew would of died.
Sub Point: Backpacking does not mean you have to quit your job (see the book for full explanation)

(11:30) LESS IS NOT LAZINESS
Simplify
There is power with increasing your focus and decreasing your workload.
EX: In the gym. Your body creates an exercise stimulus that comes in the first 20min.
In other words, 80% benefit in that first 20 minutes.
That means (theoretically) if you only worked out (everyday) for 20 minutes, you could be in better shape than if you worked out 1.5 hrs a day twice a week.
Sub Point: Being busy is a form of being lazy (Busy because avoiding the unimportant. Lazy to procrastinate. Lazy to check you email 50 x day)

(13:40) CHANGE YOUR SPACE
Good idea to have separate spaces for work / rest / sleep
Especially true if you work from home.
Ignore this advice, and winding down / decompressing after working from home will be next to impossible.

(14:30) 80/20 AND PARKINSON’S LAW
Parkinson’s Law: A task will swell to time allotted.
EX: Have a term paper due Friday? Hitting “submit” at 11:59PM Thursday
EX: Wedding on July 2? Bridzilla / stress chaos on July 1.
One of the most powerful motivators is a deadline.
Most important dates in life have deadlines. We need to set them (and shorten them) if we want to get things done.
JOURNAL QUESTION: “How can I do my 5-year plan in 5-months?”

La sesion tiene como objetivo:
 poner orden
 desmentir falsos mitos

2.FIJAR PRECIOS Y ASOCIACION:
Para que trabajamos
 Rentavilidad del negocio
Orientando al beneficio
Beneficio = Ingresos totatel - Cotees totales
It = precio * cantidad = p*q
Ct = costes fijos + Cv*Cantidad = Cf + Cv*q

No somos tan racionales.

Ben

Marketing -> observar mucho y preguntar
 Seducir y no engañar

 Ep = (AQ/Q) / (AP/P)

4.CONCEPTOS CLAVE:
 no neggociable

5.METODOS
 1.Empresas amplio expectro
 2.Alta rivalidad alta competencia

 preguntar a tu cliente -

 bajar costes y subir valor

5.Esrategias y herramientas
 Cadena de valor
 Armas:
segunda linea (saber trabajar marcas y lineas)
unbundling - construlles tu propuesta -> dejar escoger
  Dosificacion real o comunicativa
  Promocion con obstaculos ->
In ebglish please -  es mas caro
La hora valle, dia del ...
Liquidacion TOP SECRET - para grandes marcas
Precio segun variable: hora, temperatura...

WEDSDAY
* Tai Lopez Interview - Tai Lopez'sTop 10 Rules For Success
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvY8vDvbyEw

1. Increase your sense of urgency
He shares why he reads one new book a day: "Books allow you to simulate the future (without having to actually do all the trial and error yourself)..."

2. Practice
At 16, he realized life was too complex to figure out on his own. He wrote a letter to the wisest person he knew, his grandfather, to ask for answers to life's hard questions.

3. Protect what you already have
The letter said, "Tai, the modern world is too complicated. You'll never find all the answers from just one person. If you're lucky, you ll find a handful of people throughout your life who will point the way."

4. Increase your courage
Dont focus in what is easy
One week later his grandfather sent a package containing an old, dusty set of eleven books with a note, "Start by reading these."

5. Get hold of something, and hang on to it
Tai began his habit of reading on his search for what he calls the "Good Life": the balance of the four major pillars of life - health, wealth, love, and happiness.

6. Have extraordinary imaginative vision
If somone else has done it, why i can not?
Argue for firts cause
He began by reading thousands of books from the most impactful figures in history: Freud, Aristotle, Gandhi, Munger, Sam Walton, Descartes, Darwin, Confucius, and countless others.

7. Change your mind, change your life

He spent two-and-a-half years living with the Amish, spent time working at a leper colony in India, and helped Joel Salatin pioneer grass-fed, sustainable agriculture on Polyface Farms.

8. Look for Aha! moments
Learn from the world
He joined the long list of entrepreneur college dropouts and ended up completely broke until he talked five, multi-millionaire entrepreneurs into mentoring him.

9. Be quick, but not in a hurry
He went on to become a Certified Financial Planner and worked in the world of finance before becoming a founder, investor, advisor, or mentor to the business world.

10. Pass on what you know
Create more of you
He appeared on various TV and radio shows and has spoken at top global universities like The London Business School and the University of Southern California.

* The 7 BEST Journaling Tips of ALL Time - How to Keep A Journal
-----------------------------------
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwJHWsx9Bvo

1. Use the RIGHT Tool - tailor to you
The right tool for the right job. This is NOT a diary. Think of it as a success log to coach yourself. Don’t treat it as an area to make problems smaller - your journal is a tool to take your success and make it bigger!

2. Get A Sketch Book
blank - no rules. good gear - also helpful (G2/sharpie highlighter)

3. Take on The 6 in 1 Method
choose 6 sections and break it into these
Mine: business, growth, gratitude, book notes, video online, freedom
Other: travel, music, goal, parent, relationship, best 1% ideas, quotes, drawings, pictures, etc.

4. Front Cover
i.e. What are YOUR rules? What do you live by? Constitution for USA, Mission Statement for Business. Use your front cover to list all that sort of stuff. i.e. inspiration, BEST quotes, Power of I AM, Signature Strengths

5. Back Cover
If you’re not GROWING you’re dying. So many people talk, few people DO. — NY resolutions!? The secret to achieving your goals is to revisit DAILY. Set goals in three areas: WORK/REST/PLAY. Also awesome: look at previous years BIG goals and see what you were working on/BIG goals for that year

6. Frequency
ONLY ONE RULE: when you feel like it. don’t force it - a place of inspiration NOT an obligation. Get emails from people who are ashamed they stopped or beat themselves up for missing a week. ALL GOOD! Look at the journal and get AMPED. Only positive feelings with it - don’t ever look and think “I really should…..”
once per year - swap out completely even if not full

7. Get GOOD Questions
good questions are MAKE or BREAK. upgrade life = upgrade questions you’re asking. I got 30 days of questions in NEW MBJ2.0
30-Day Coaching ends with 2-3 questions. 60-90 of them total!!

* LANDING - Unbounce vs Leadpages
-----------------------------------
Unbounce  - advanced users who want the ability to create what they have in mind and are willing to  learn how to make that happen
Leadpages - simplicity and the additional optin features

I disagree with the #1 spot. I’ve tried both unbounce and lead pages and unbounce is by far the superior product. You’re extremely restricted with the design on leadpages. If one of their standard templates doesn’t match your business, you’re basically stuck with templates that don’t fit your needs. Unbounce’s drag and drop landing page builder gives you the freedom to make virtually any landing page.

Hey Matt, that’s 100% valid. It really depends entirely on what you need. I work with a lot of clients who need simplicity and the additional optin features only LeadPages is offering. For more advanced users who want the ability to create what they have in mind and are willing to learn how to make that happen, Unbounce is definitely the way to go.

* 20 Golden Rules for MAKING MONEY | The Art of Money Getting by P. T. Barnum

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lfa9_SOtf8&t
"
P. T. Barnum took promoting and showmanship to another level. He went into the circus business at the age of 60 and built a fortune, transporting his circus via the railroad on his own train. He wrote a book called "The Art of Money Getting: Golden Rules for Making Money" highlighting how to make (and more importantly keep) money. What's remarkable is that this advice has stood the test of time and many current millionaires and billionaires from the present day have utilised the strategies Barnum discusses. If you would like to learn more about the people I've discussed in the examples in my videos, there are links to various videos with more information down below.

Cómo negociar tu precio con clientes y no perder tu margen? | Entrevista
-----------------------------------
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSCu2lMsRbo
(2017.8.12)

Cómo negociar (con éxito) mi precio con mis clientes
http://idearamus.com/catalogo/como-negociar-mi-precio/

1.Respetar tu valor
2.Propuesta de servios - concreta, especifica, de valor alto
 tiempo, entregable ...
3.Indicar claramenre los beneficios
4.Asumir riesgos y quitar miedo al cliente

PRECIO:

-----------------------------------
Estrategias de negociación. Cómo negociar mi precio con mis clientes con éxito
Marta Emerson (2017.07.06)
-----------------------------------------------
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tAl2nhWqyI

Resumen ->
creetelo

Servicios vs Producto ->
Producto -
Servios -
 valor de cada hora nuestra
valor del retorno para el cliente
tamaño de empresa con la que negocias

Pasos ->
1.Preparacio
2.3 Errores
3.Propuesta
4.Gestion de objebcione/cierre

1.Preparacio
Creer nuestro valor
 hayan vendido precio similares
que el volumen de ventas este acostumbrado
 servicios similare
b.Precio correcto
 Justificable

 Cliente serio:capacidada y voluntat
  Preguntar
   su aguja de precio,
presupuesto paar ... () marqueting online
si ya lo ha echo, que resultados
   cuanto estaria dispuesto a invertir

 Demostrar valor y esclusividad
  Preguntar- Cual e sla alternativa?

D.Hablar tecnicamente del producto

3.Propuesta
  luego habra menso negociacion
dar precios raro, no dar precios cerrrados (1000e)

  mantente calmado, serenos, profesionales
   ofrecer payment plan (financiacion)
dinero, precio, tiempo, preocupaciones, cuanto tiempo necesita dedicar...
    cuanto riesgo asumiria...
   mostarr al cliente la alternativa
 Fija fechas

OBJETIVO ->
 mucha preparacion
conocer producto, cliente, testimonials, mediciones, procesos, customizarlos
No cerrra ninguna puerta
Puede que en un tiempo regresen

NOTA:
